Leadership

Ken Hester has served as Senior Pastor at FBC since 2000.  After he earned his Agriculture degree at Mississippi State, he went on to earn his Masters of Divinity with Biblical Languages at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas and his Doctor of Ministry degree at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.  After years of youth ministry, Bro. Ken is now in his second church where he has served as  pastor for over two decades.  Bro. Ken and his wife, Temple, have a daughter and a son-in-law.  We like them both.  After his family and church, Bro. Ken enjoys all kinds of sports and drilling fresh-water wells in needed areas.

Clay Stegall is the Associate Pastor and leads the Discipleship Programs here at First Baptist Church. Clay Stegall is a Pontotoc Native and enthusiastic supporter of all things South Pontotoc High School. Clay and his wife, Jeri Ann Stegall, both attended Mississippi College. They have two sons: Mack Stegall and Caleb Stegall. The Stegall family is passionate about International Missions and have served on the foreign mission field in Colombia. 

Justin Cobb has served as Youth/Student Pastor at FBC since April 2014. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Mississippi College in 2007 and his Masters of Divinity in 2016. Justin has been working full time in Student Ministry since 2008. Justin completed his masters degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological seminary, May 2016. He looks forward to many years to come at First Baptist Church of Pontotoc. Justin and Melissa married in 2008 and have two children, Hayden and Owen.

Zach Keller leads the First Day service on Sunday mornings and the Student Worship team on Wednesday evenings. Zach also oversees all production ministries at FBC Pontotoc. Zach graduated with a Bachelor's degree from the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College at Florida Atlantic University in 2010 before receiving his Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2013. Zach married his wife Erin in 2011 and they have two children: Delia and Dean. When he isn't working, Zach enjoys motorcycle riding, flying airplanes, and enjoying the outdoors.

Danielle Davis has served as the Children’s Minister at FBC since August 2018. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Ministry from Blue Mountain College in 2015 and graduated with her Master’s of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2018. Having had the opportunity to lead children and/or teen ministries since 2012, Danielle eagerly looks forward to the exciting plans God has in store for the children’s ministry at First Baptist Church in the years to come! Danielle married Graham in October of 2021, and they have seen the Lord pour out His immeasurably more in every day since!

Chess Anthony has been on staff at First Baptist Church since 2010.  Not only does she work at FBC but Chess also helps in 3rd grade Sunday School and R.A.s as well as being active on the Children's Committee and Youth Committee.  After graduating from Indianola Academy in 1997, Chess attended Delta State University. Chess is married to Chad Anthony and they have four children, Sheffield, Rhodes, Hutton and Greenlee Anthony. When she is not working, Chess enjoys watching her children play sports.

Randy Moss has served as Superintendent at FBC Pontotoc since 1994. He graduated from South Pontotoc in 1982. Randy oversees the facilities throughout the church on a weekly basis. He enjoys hunting and fishing every chance he gets. Randy has been married to Dawn Moss for 32 years. Dawn and Randy have one son, Justin Moss.
